We believe that talent is universal-even if opportunity isn't. By providing solutions that fill the gap between talent and opportunity, we make it possible for today's worker to be tomorrow's success story.

Admissions CRITERIA

Many programs require a bachelor's degree or at least two years of work experience to apply, but we do not. ReadyTrack™ was created for those who have a desire to change their lives but who have not had the opportunity to pursue traditional higher education.

Untapped talent is our inspiration

Although anyone can apply, we’re focused on serving women, people of color, and those who have an annual income below $35,000 (individual, not household income).

18+ Years of Age

Prospective students seeking admission to the RT Software Developer Program must be no less than 18 years of age.

Have a high school diploma*

* ReadyTrack also recognizes several equivalents to a high school diploma:

  • A GED
  • A certificate demonstrating that a student passed a state-authorized examination recognized as the equivalent of a high school diploma
  • An academic transcript of a student who has successfully completed at least a two-year program acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree
  • A diploma from a foreign school equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma

Able to dedicate 20–25 hours per week to learning

ReadyTrack's Software Developer Program requires a commitment to an average of 20-25 hours a week.

Estimated Weekly Breakdown of Time (20-25 hrs total)

  • Self-Paced Coursework: 10 Hours
  • Live Class Sessions: 10 Hours
  • Project Time: 5 Hours

*Please note this is an estimated breakdown. Schedules may vary slightly between each course within the program.

Proficient in English*

*If English is not an individual's native language, they must submit proof of a qualifying score on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) to start coursework in the software developer program. ReadyTrack requires a score of 80 or higher.

The TOEFL iBT tests the four language skills that are important for effective communication: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Access the TOEFL iBT Information and Registration Bulletin for information about test dates, locations, and fees.

Because the TOEFL iBT is the only TOEFL test that measures speaking skills, ReadyTrack is unable to accept results from other TOEFL tests.

Test results may be emailed to: admissions@readytrack.org.

Program Enrollment Start Dates

  • A limited number of learners are enrolled for each start date.
  • Admission to the program does not guarantee that you will be able to start coursework on the next start date.
  • Upon application to the program, you will be required to complete a third-party analysis that will help gain insight into your learning style and strengths. Based on these results, ReadyTrack enrollment counselors may have suggestions for how you can best prepare for success in the program before you begin. You may be required to complete these suggestions before starting coursework in the program.

Other Admissions Requirements and Disclaimers

  • Prospective students must also reside in the United States. Exceptions are made for U.S. active-duty military personnel and their families at overseas installations and individuals living in Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • ReadyTrack admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the program. It doesn’t discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, tuition waiver programs, and other program-administered programs.

  • Prospective students may not be incarcerated in a state or federal penal institution.
